Garden, not coast, is the ground Asada works with. The property is laid out around cultivated planting in Bali — lawns, foliage and open air under tropical light — and the greenery carries much of what hired decoration is asked to do at a plainer address. The venue and its gardens are taken privately, so one celebration has the lawns to itself: a ceremony framed by planting, then dinner on open grass as the light drops. A bridal preparation suite sits indoors, and covered ground is kept in reserve against tropical rain, which on this island is a structural requirement rather than a courtesy — the garden can be committed to in the knowledge that the afternoon has somewhere else to go.
