A place to begin everything.
Sohamsa Ocean Estate is two adjoining villas, Villa Soham and Villa Hamsa, on the cliff high above the Indian Ocean at Kutuh on Bali's Bukit Peninsula, designed by the Singapore architect Ernesto Bedmar. Each villa has its own entrance and parking, and two gates in their gardens join them into one estate of ten bedrooms. Villa Soham's 22-metre infinity pool sits almost on the cliff edge, beside an open-sided poolside bale with a bar counter and kitchenette; Villa Hamsa has a 14-metre pool, a pergola terrace and a master suite with near-180-degree views of the ocean below. Pandawa Beach is about two kilometres away. For a wedding the two villas are booked together. Vows are exchanged on the deck with the sea behind, dinner is laid by candlelight on the manicured lawn for up to 40 seated — weather allowing — and up to 60 can gather for cocktails in Villa Soham's lounge and on its pergola terrace; the pool bale and the paved pool area take the bar, the buffet and the dancing, and a second function welcomes up to 30. Live bands and DJs end at 11 pm and in-house music at midnight. There is no indoor space large enough to move a wedding inside, so a free-standing marquee is part of the plan whenever rain is possible. The estate sleeps twenty, and up to twenty-four with extra beds, with a villa manager, chef, attendants, gardener, engineer and security shared across both houses, a gym and a massage room. Stays are from IDR 76,606,390 a night for the whole estate in standard periods of 2027 and 2028, two nights minimum, all-inclusive as the estate quotes them; the event fee, the banjar fee and everything brought in for the day are set out in your quote.

- Capacity
- Up to 40 guests seated (weather dependent) or 60 for cocktails at the main event; up to 30 at a second function. Both villas are booked together for an event.
- Minimum stay
- 2 nights in standard periods, 4 in high periods and 5 from 26 December to 5 January (the estate's rates; its event guidelines ask for 3 nights in high season). An event books the whole estate for the minimum nights.
- Music curfew
- Live bands and DJs end at 11 pm; in-house music at midnight.
- Event fees
- Per the estate's 2026 event guidelines (subject to change): an event fee of USD 1,500++ (plus 15.5% tax), and a local banjar (community) fee of IDR 6,000,000 for up to 25 guests, IDR 6,500,000 for up to 50 and IDR 7,500,000 for up to 60, charged again for a second event. Both are itemised in your quote.
- Rain
- There is no wet-weather back-up or large indoor space: a free-standing marquee with clear sides and proper flooring is required on rainy days all year (the rainy season usually runs November to March). The living room is not an event space.
- Kitchen and bar
- The villa kitchen is not used for the event: caterers set up their own kitchen in the staff area under a 6 × 3 m marquee and bring free-standing bars, as the villa has none for events.
- Planning the event
- Elite Havens asks for an approved event organiser, an event plan four weeks before the day, a cash damage deposit and an event generator (no power is drawn from the villa); a second gathering runs between 10 am and 6 pm without external sound. There is no parking on site for suppliers.
- Not permitted
- Fireworks, balloon releases and Thai wishing lanterns; staging built into or over the pool. Floating candles or flowers in the pool come out by 1 am.
- What is quoted separately
- The stay covers the estate, its team and breakfast. Catering, bar, floral styling, lighting, sound, furniture hire and on-the-day coordination are quoted separately — your Brides Venues planner confirms every cost with you before anything is booked.
