For elopements and small dinners, Kamala has private retreats that host 30–50 guests in complete seclusion.

Thailand · 4 hand-picked venues
Kamala sits on Phuket's west coast between Surin and Patong, on the ridge locally known as Millionaire's Mile — the island's highest concentration of large clifftop estates. Its villas look west over the Andaman Sea, host celebrations from private dinners to receptions of a couple of hundred, and sit around 30–40 minutes from Phuket airport. November to April is the dry, calm-sea season.

Timing
November to April is the dry, calm window on Kamala's stretch of the west coast; May to October brings monsoon swell to the headlands.
| When | Season | What it means for your day |
|---|---|---|
| November – February | Peak dry season — rated Best | Calm Andaman Sea, low humidity, reliable sunsets. The most-booked window and the one that goes first — expect to hold dates 12 months out. |
| March – April | Hot and dry — rated Good | Still dry and still beautiful, but genuinely hot by mid-afternoon. Plan a late-afternoon ceremony and keep guests shaded until then. Songkran in mid-April is a national holiday and affects staffing and traffic. |
| May – June | Shoulder — showers begin — rated Mixed | The monsoon arrives on the Andaman coast. Rain is usually short and heavy rather than all-day, rates soften, and a villa with a covered pavilion makes the risk manageable. |
| July – August | Green season — rated Wet | Wettest and windiest on the west coast, with a swell that closes some beaches to swimming. Good value and very green — but only with a serious indoor plan. |
| September – October | Late monsoon — rated Wet | Statistically the wettest stretch of the year in Phuket. Some venues and suppliers close for maintenance. We would steer a once-in-a-lifetime day away from it. |
How far ahead to book. Twelve months for peak-season Saturdays. The Kamala headland holds only a handful of estates at this scale, and they book against each other.
Paperwork
The honest answer for most couples is that the ceremony and the registration are two separate things — and separating them is normal, not a compromise.
General guidance from what our venues and couples report, not legal advice. Confirm current requirements with your own embassy or registrar before you book flights.
The ceremony you plan — the aisle, the vows, the photographs — is almost always a symbolic one held at the villa or resort. It carries no legal weight anywhere, and that is the normal, expected choice for international couples in Thailand. Nothing about it looks or feels different from a legal ceremony.
To marry legally in Thailand, both partners obtain an affirmation of freedom to marry from their own embassy in Bangkok, have it translated and legalised by the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then register at any district office (amphur). It is an administrative day in Bangkok, not a ceremony, and it is usually done before or after the celebration — not on the wedding day.
Many couples add a morning monk blessing — nine monks, chanting, an offering — before the Western-style ceremony. It is ceremonial rather than legal, and the venue arranges it locally.
Embassy requirements, fees and translation rules change. Confirm the exact document list with your own embassy in Bangkok and with the venue before committing to dates. Your Brides Venues concierge will tell you what the venue has seen most recently, but we are not lawyers and this is not legal advice.

The rate on each venue page is the venue. These are the lines that make up the rest of the day — the ones couples are most often surprised by. We quote every one of them for you before you commit to anything.
