A place to begin everything.
The Pala Ubud is a private riverside estate in the village of Pejeng, fifteen minutes from central Ubud, where sixteen bedrooms are spread across six villas beside the Petanu River and its rice paddies. Designed around the Japanese idea of shinrin yoku - forest bathing - and custom-built for events, it centres on Villa Agung's five-bedroom pavilion and its expansive lawn, the estate's main reception space for up to 100 seated or 150 standing guests. Ceremonies take place on the lawn, on Villa Sanghyang's rooftop or beside the river, with dinners at the on-site Hura Hura restaurant.
