What drives the gap: venue hire and catering
Two line items decide almost the whole number, and both are structurally higher in Europe. Exclusive venue hire in Asia starts low — a private Bali or Lombok villa can be hired from around US$1,000–1,200, and Phuket's cliff-front estates from about US$6,000 — while Europe's landmark estates begin in the tens or hundreds of thousands. Catering follows the same split.
