Every package, 2026–2027
Villa Balbiano rents by the event, not by the night. The two- and three-day rentals include the six double suites of the main palazzo (12 guests); extra rooms elsewhere on the estate take the total to 30 guests at an extra charge. Weekends are on request at an extra charge on the shorter rentals.

The 55-guest rule: when a glasshouse becomes mandatory
Up to 55 guests can dine inside the villa. Above 55, local anti-noise rules require a pre-installed glasshouse in the gardens, rented under a direct contract with the structure company and quoted separately — it is not in any package price. This is the single biggest jump in a Villa Balbiano budget, so settle the guest list before you compare packages.
On a one-day event, guests above 40 are charged in steps: up to 45 adds EUR 5,750, up to 50 adds EUR 11,500 and up to 55 adds EUR 17,250.
What a 50-guest weekend really costs
The venue is only part of it. For a three-day weekend for 50 guests — welcome dinner, wedding day and farewell brunch — these are the ranges in the 2027 quotes we received for exactly that weekend at the villa. Supplier figures are before VAT; the florals quotes add 22%.

The refundable deposit and the rules that cost money
- Security deposit. EUR 35,000 on the event rentals, returned after the wedding if there is no damage. It sits outside the total above.
- Music curfew. Outdoor music ends at 9.30pm and the afterparty at 1am; each hour after that is EUR 5,750.
- Approved suppliers only. Catering, bar, flowers, lighting, sound, rentals and structures come from The Heritage Collection's approved list. You cannot bring your own caterer; we source and compare the approved ones for you.
- Approved planners only. The estate works only with approved planning agencies; each appointment is subject to its approval.
- Smoking. Never inside (a EUR 10,000 fine applies) and only in authorised areas outside.
Elopements and photo shoots at Villa Balbiano
For two, the villa rents without the event machinery: a shoot of up to two hours from EUR 8,050, an elopement or pre-wedding shoot of up to five hours from EUR 23,000, and an elopement with a night in the Lake Como view suite from EUR 34,500. No services are included; smaller security deposits apply.
How to keep a Villa Balbiano wedding in budget
- Stay at 55 guests or fewer. It keeps the dinner inside the villa and removes the glasshouse altogether.
- Choose the weekday rates. The one- and two-day rentals are priced for weekdays; weekends cost extra.
- Count your events. Each event after the first adds EUR 11,500 in mandatory extras — a brunch you could hold elsewhere is worth pricing both ways.
- Compare more than one florist. The floral quotes for the same weekend ran from about EUR 41,000 to EUR 154,000 — the widest spread of any line.
