Amankila rests on a hillside above the Lombok Strait at Manggis, in Bali's quiet east, beneath Mount Agung — about two and a half hours from the airport by private car. It sells a wedding in two ways: an intimate wedding at the Amankila Suite for up to 30 guests, or the whole resort for two nights.
Every Amankila rate is plus 21% government tax and service (++), as the resort's 2026–2027 rate card states. The rate depends on the date: the card has six rate periods for 2027, from the late-May and November weeks to August, and covers weddings to 18 December 2027.

The rules that cost money
- Rates are plus tax. Every rate is subject to 21% government tax and service charge.
- The credits are for the event. The F&B credit is valid only for event food and drink — the total is set by your final menu — and the spa credit only during the event.
- Thirty on the intimate package. The Amankila Suite wedding is valid for 30 people: ten suites (three Garden, four Ocean, two Pool and the Amankila Suite) for two nights.
- The rate card's dates. The 2026–2027 card runs from 4 January 2026 to 18 December 2027; a later date is priced on the next card.
- What the stay includes. Daily breakfast, a return airport transfer by private car, afternoon tea, and the resort's yoga pavilion, bicycles and non-motorised water sports.
When to marry at Amankila
April to October is dry; July and August are the most reliable and the most booked. January to March is the wet season. Because Bali lies just south of the equator, the sun sets within the same hour all year: at Manggis, at about 6:05 pm at its earliest (May and June) and 6:45 pm at its latest (January and February).
Nine to twelve months for peak season. The named clifftop estates on the Bukit are the first to go.

Sunsets are calculated for the 15th of each month (local clock, summer time where it applies) and move a few minutes either side across the month. Golden-hour vows start about an hour and a quarter before sunset.
Marrying legally in Indonesia
- Indonesian law recognises religious marriage only. There is no civil marriage in Indonesia. A legal wedding requires both partners to share one of the six state-recognised religions — Islam, Protestantism, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism or Confucianism — and to marry under its rites, with the marriage then registered at the civil registry office.
- Which is why most international couples marry symbolically. A symbolic ceremony at the villa or resort — celebrant, vows, rings, sand or water ritual — is the standard choice and is what nearly every Bali wedding photograph you have seen actually is. The legal marriage happens at home, before or after.
