The rules that cost money
- Service charge and tax. All prices are subject to a 10% service charge and 11% government tax.
- Final guest numbers. Final numbers, with dietary requirements, are due 30 days before the wedding; reductions after that are charged in full, and up to 5% spare food is provided.
- Amplified-sound curfew. Outdoor amplified music ends at 10pm under local ordinance — at Tresna, SKY, Kisik and the gardens. The AYANA and RIMBA ballroom runs to 1am.
- In-house food and drink. All catering is in-house; outside food and drink may not be brought in, with up to three external live-station stalls by arrangement, with corkage.
- Fireworks and effects. Fireworks need advance approval and permits. Wishing lanterns, balloon releases, confetti, bubble and smoke machines are not permitted.
- Booking and settlement. Full settlement is due 60 days before the wedding. Blackout dates: Nyepi (±1 day) and 24 December – 2 January.
When to marry at AYANA Resort Bali
April to October is dry. Jimbaran faces west, so the bay delivers the sunset the whole day is usually built around. Because Bali lies just south of the equator, the sun sets within the same hour all year: at Jimbaran, at about 6:05 pm at its earliest (May and June) and 6:45 pm at its latest (January and February).

Sunsets are calculated for the 15th of each month (local clock, summer time where it applies) and move a few minutes either side across the month. Golden-hour vows start about an hour and a quarter before sunset.
Marrying legally in Indonesia
- Indonesian law recognises religious marriage only. There is no civil marriage in Indonesia. A legal wedding requires both partners to share one of the six state-recognised religions — Islam, Protestantism, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism or Confucianism — and to marry under its rites, with the marriage then registered at the civil registry office.
- Which is why most international couples marry symbolically. A symbolic ceremony at the villa or resort — celebrant, vows, rings, sand or water ritual — is the standard choice and is what nearly every Bali wedding photograph you have seen actually is. The legal marriage happens at home, before or after.

How to keep a AYANA Resort Bali wedding in budget
- Price SKY at your real number. The SKY packages are priced for 100, 200 and 300 guests — the figure moves with the count, not the venue.
- Let the headcount choose the setting. Twenty for the secret garden, 30 for Kisik Pier, 50 for the Tresna Chapel or a private villa, and SKY for up to 300.
- Plan around the blackout dates. Nyepi and 24 December – 2 January are closed to weddings.
- Fix the number at 30 days. Reductions after the 30-day deadline are charged in full.
