The rules that cost money
- Rates are ++. All rates are subject to the prevailing government tax and service charge.
- High season. A compulsory high-season charge of IDR 50,000,000++ applies to celebrations in June, July, August and September 2028.
- Curfew and after-party. The Curfew Lounge is available for six hours at IDR 15,000,000++; a curfew extension until 02:00 is available through the banjar and event fee at IDR 1,500,000 nett.
- Extra nights and beds. Extra nights only with a package. Extra beds from IDR 350,000++ a night (single) or IDR 750,000++ (king), breakfast IDR 200,000++ a guest, a firework permit IDR 2,500,000, and restaurant and kitchen rental for eight hours IDR 35,000,000++.
- Banjar included. The banjar and event fee is included in the Queen package, and the estate handles the permit.
When to marry at Stone Villas Uluwatu
April to October, with July and August the most reliable. Sunset falls between about 6:05 and 6:50 pm year-round — earliest in May and June, latest in January and February — and the whole day is built backwards from it. Because Bali lies just south of the equator, the sun sets within the same hour all year: at Uluwatu, at about 6:05 pm at its earliest (May and June) and 6:45 pm at its latest (January and February).
Twelve months for a peak-season Saturday. Uluwatu's cliff-edge chapels and lawns are the most requested in Indonesia.

Sunsets are calculated for the 15th of each month (local clock, summer time where it applies) and move a few minutes either side across the month. Golden-hour vows start about an hour and a quarter before sunset.
Marrying legally in Indonesia
- Indonesian law recognises religious marriage only. There is no civil marriage in Indonesia. A legal wedding requires both partners to share one of the six state-recognised religions — Islam, Protestantism, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism or Confucianism — and to marry under its rites, with the marriage then registered at the civil registry office.
- Which is why most international couples marry symbolically. A symbolic ceremony at the villa or resort — celebrant, vows, rings, sand or water ritual — is the standard choice and is what nearly every Bali wedding photograph you have seen actually is. The legal marriage happens at home, before or after.

- Airport. Bali Ngurah Rai (DPS) — about 45–75 minutes to the Bukit clifftops
- The peninsula. Uluwatu sits on the Bukit, south of the airport. Getting there avoids the island's worst northbound traffic
- Between venues. Clifftop estates are 10–30 minutes apart along the coast road
- Worth planning. Wind. The cliffs are exposed — it affects florals, drapery, hair and where a ceremony can physically sit
