Puri Bhagawan wedding cost at a glance

Puri Bhagawan is a hilltop estate above Jimbaran Bay, on the Bukit peninsula, with sunset views over the bay and a Main Lawn that seats up to 1,200. It belongs to the same family as Taman Bhagawan and sells weddings the same way: the estate on its own (The Canvas — bring your own suppliers), or one of three catered packages by Vivre, priced by guest count and season.

Every rate is inclusive of 21% government tax and service. The catered packages include the venue fee and the banjar permit; peak season runs March to October and off-peak November to February. Prices are for the Classic Bar — the Signature and Ultimate bars add a fixed sum per guest.

The rules that cost money

Tax, service and what is included. All rates include 21% government tax and service. The Classic, Signature and Ultimate packages include the venue fee and the banjar permit (IDR 5,500,000 an event day).
Event organiser. Every event is run by an approved event organiser; without one, a planning & coordination fee of IDR 12,000,000 applies.
Deposit and security deposit. A 30% deposit confirms the booking once the event agreement is signed. A refundable security deposit of 10% of the total is returned within 14 days of the event if the venue is undamaged.
Music and fireworks. Amplified music ends at 23:00, at no more than 75 dB at the perimeter. Fireworks need a banjar permit (IDR 3,750,000), with a 21:00 curfew.
Setup days and power. One additional preparation day is IDR 60,000,000; any further day is charged as a full rental day, IDR 120,000,000. A generator set for event equipment is arranged by the event organiser.
Drinks. BYO alcohol is allowed with corkage of IDR 302,500 per opened bottle, with legal import stickers. Bar hours can be extended per guest, and children over 12 are charged a non-alcoholic beverage package.
Parking. On-site parking for up to 40 cars; more on neighbouring land can be arranged for a fee.

When to marry at Puri Bhagawan

April to October is dry. Jimbaran faces west, so the bay delivers the sunset the whole day is usually built around. Because Bali lies just south of the equator, the sun sets within the same hour all year: at Jimbaran, at about 6:05 pm at its earliest (May and June) and 6:45 pm at its latest (January and February).

Sunsets are calculated for the 15th of each month (local clock, summer time where it applies) and move a few minutes either side across the month. Golden-hour vows start about an hour and a quarter before sunset.

Marrying legally in Indonesia

Indonesian law recognises religious marriage only. There is no civil marriage in Indonesia. A legal wedding requires both partners to share one of the six state-recognised religions — Islam, Protestantism, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism or Confucianism — and to marry under its rites, with the marriage then registered at the civil registry office.
Which is why most international couples marry symbolically. Airport. Bali Ngurah Rai (DPS) — about 15–25 minutes, one of the shortest transfers on the island
To Uluwatu. About 30–40 minutes further south along the Bukit
Setting. A west-facing bay with the seafood warungs on the sand below and clifftop estates on the headland above
Worth planning. Sunset falls between about 6:05 and 6:50 pm year-round — earliest in May and June, latest in January and February. Build the ceremony time backwards from it, not forwards from lunch

How to keep a Puri Bhagawan wedding in budget

Marry between November and February. The same Classic package for 100 is IDR 126,000,000 off-peak against IDR 156,000,000 in peak season.
Price your real headcount. The packages are priced at 50, 100, 200 and 300 guests; additional guests are charged per person (from IDR 905,000 on Classic).
Choose the bar by the guest. The Signature bar adds IDR 450,000 a guest and the Ultimate IDR 800,000 — at 200 guests that is IDR 90,000,000 or IDR 160,000,000.
Bring an approved organiser. It saves the IDR 12,000,000 coordination fee, and they arrange the generator the estate requires.
