The rules that cost money
- Priced by guest count, rates ++. Each package is priced for 30, 50, 100 or 150 guests, and up to 250 for Audrey, Scarlett, Celeste and the Catholic wedding. Prices are subject to a 5% service charge plus 10% tax on food and drink, or 11% VAT on other items.
- Capacity by space. Chapel and Glass House celebrations cater up to 150 guests; Heaven, Earth and the Cliffside Garden scale to 300.
- Holding a date. A date and time slot is held for seven days while the reservation form is completed, and confirmed when the agreement is signed and the initial deposit of IDR 45,000,000 is paid — a IDR 15,000,000 booking fee and a IDR 30,000,000 down payment.
- Cancellation. 366 days or more before the wedding: full refund. 365–271 days: the booking fee is kept. 270–91 days: the deposit is kept. 90–61 days: 50% of the invoice; 60–31 days: 75%; 30 days or less: 100%.
When to marry at Tirtha Uluwatu
April to October, with July and August the most reliable. Sunset falls between about 6:05 and 6:50 pm year-round — earliest in May and June, latest in January and February — and the whole day is built backwards from it. Because Bali lies just south of the equator, the sun sets within the same hour all year: at Uluwatu, at about 6:05 pm at its earliest (May and June) and 6:45 pm at its latest (January and February).
Twelve months for a peak-season Saturday. Uluwatu's cliff-edge chapels and lawns are the most requested in Indonesia.

Sunsets are calculated for the 15th of each month (local clock, summer time where it applies) and move a few minutes either side across the month. Golden-hour vows start about an hour and a quarter before sunset.
Marrying legally in Indonesia
- Indonesian law recognises religious marriage only. There is no civil marriage in Indonesia. A legal wedding requires both partners to share one of the six state-recognised religions — Islam, Protestantism, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism or Confucianism — and to marry under its rites, with the marriage then registered at the civil registry office.
- Which is why most international couples marry symbolically. A symbolic ceremony at the villa or resort — celebrant, vows, rings, sand or water ritual — is the standard choice and is what nearly every Bali wedding photograph you have seen actually is. The legal marriage happens at home, before or after.
