Villa Astor Wedding Cost 2027: Full Price Breakdown

Every Villa Astor rental for 2026–2027, the weekday rule, the 40-seat dining room, the refundable deposits and everything quoted separately — with an estimator for your own guest number.

By Brides VenuesOctober 8, 20269 min read

A wedding at Villa Astor starts at EUR 34,500 for the villa alone — an intimate event for up to 20 guests, or an elopement with a night in the sea-view suite. A one-day event for up to 100 guests is EUR 40,250, and the two- and three-day rentals, with the six suites of the main villa, are EUR 86,250 and EUR 120,750. Every figure here is our current 2026–2027 rate for the villa, on the estate's own terms; the estimator below prices your own day.

Villa Astor wedding cost at a glance

The villa rents by the event, on the cliffs of Sorrento above the Bay of Naples. No rental includes catering, flowers, lighting or furniture — they come from the estate's approved suppliers — and a refundable security deposit is held on top. The villa's price list does not state VAT; any tax that applies is shown in your quotation.

The weekday rule

The one-day and two-day rentals — and the intimate event for up to 20, which follows the one-day terms — are for weekdays, on dates the estate proposes. A weekend may be possible on request, at an extra charge the estate quotes for the date.

The three-day rental carries no weekday note on the price list. If your date must fall on a weekend, it is the rental to ask about first.

Forty seats inside, two hundred in the gardens

A seated dinner inside the villa is for up to 40 guests. Larger dinners are laid on the terraces and in the two hectares of gardens that fall toward the sea, so for anything over 40, plan the weather alternative early: a marquee from the estate's approved list, quoted separately.

The one-day rental takes up to 100 guests, with more on request at an extra charge; the two- and three-day rentals take up to 200, with the afterparty limited to 150. Outdoor music ends at 10 or 11pm and the afterparty at midnight; each hour after that is EUR 5,750.

Getting ready, and who sleeps at the villa

  • On the one-day rentals. One suite on the second floor for getting ready, for up to six people at a time including vendors; extra suites at an extra charge. Nobody stays the night, and the estate is released by 8.30am the next morning.
  • On the two- and three-day rentals. The six double suites of the main villa, for up to 12 guests, for one or two nights. Check-in is at 10am on the first day and checkout at 9pm on the last.
  • Everyone else. Sorrento's historic centre is a few minutes' walk away, so the rest of the party stays in town. For a May, June or September date, that hotel block — not the villa — is what to secure first.

When to marry at Villa Astor

May, June, September and early October. Avoid mid-August, when the coast road and every supplier are at their limit. Summer time keeps the evenings long: on 15 June the sun sets at about 8:35 pm, so golden-hour vows begin around 7:30 pm; by mid-September sunset is at about 7:15 pm.

Twelve to eighteen months for a May, June or September date. Accommodation for the guest list is the binding constraint here, not the venue.

Sunsets are calculated for the 15th of each month (local clock, summer time where it applies) and move a few minutes either side across the month. Golden-hour vows start about an hour and a quarter before sunset.

The deposit and the rules that cost money

  • Security deposit. EUR 35,000 on the one-day rental for more than 20 guests and on the two- and three-day rentals; from EUR 20,000 for up to 20 guests. It is returned after the wedding if there is no damage, and it sits outside every total on this page.
  • Services the estate requires. A toilet attendant at every event, plus security and trash disposal and cleaning, which local rules require — booked through the estate, at your expense.
  • Approved suppliers only. Catering and bar, flowers, rentals, marquees, lighting and sound, draping, transport and logistics come from the estate's approved list; using anyone else carries significant penalties. Musicians are recommended, not required.
  • Power and the kitchen. Power hub access for your production (wiring not included) and kitchen access for the caterer are at an extra charge, as are the pizza oven and moving furniture.
  • Late hours. Each hour after midnight is EUR 5,750. Two technical site inspections for your suppliers are included; more are at an extra charge.
  • Smoking. Never inside — a penalty from EUR 10,000 applies — and only in authorised areas outside. Smoke machines are not allowed at the afterparty.

What is quoted separately

Nothing below is in a rental. Each line is priced for your date from the estate's approved suppliers, and your concierge brings them into one quotation.

For scale: at Villa Balbiano, the collection's Lake Como estate, whose approved list shares most of the same caterers and florists, the 2027 quotes we hold for a 50-guest, three-day weekend put catering at about EUR 31,000 to EUR 49,000 and flowers at EUR 41,250 to EUR 154,000, before VAT. They are a guide to the size of these lines, not a price for this estate — we quote its suppliers for your date.

Elopements and photo shoots at Villa Astor

For two, the villa rents without the event. An elopement with one night in the sea-view suite on the second floor is EUR 34,500, for the couple and their vendors (up to 10 people), with check-in at 1pm and checkout at 5pm the next day. A pre-wedding or commercial shoot of up to two hours is EUR 8,050, with extra time at EUR 3,450 an hour. No services are included in either; the deposit is from EUR 15,000 for the elopement and from EUR 5,000 for the shoot.

Marrying legally in Italy

  • Italy will legally marry foreign couples — but the paperwork leads. A civil ceremony performed by an Italian registrar is legally binding for non-residents. You will need a nulla osta (a declaration of no impediment) from your own consulate in Italy, legalised at the local Prefettura, plus passports and birth certificates. The file is lodged with the comune ahead of the date.
  • Not every beautiful room is licensed. Only venues the comune has licensed for civil ceremonies can host the legal act — a private villa often is not one. Where it is not, couples hold the legal ceremony at the town hall and the real celebration at the villa, usually on consecutive days.
  • Catholic ceremonies carry civil weight. A Catholic wedding in an Italian church is recognised civilly, but the parish process runs through your home parish and takes months. Start it before you fix a date.
  • Symbolic is entirely normal here too. Plenty of couples marry legally at home and treat the Italian day as the wedding. No guest can tell the difference, and it removes every document deadline from your planning.

Getting to Villa Astor

  • Airport. Naples (NAP) — about 1h15 to Sorrento; Positano and Ravello are longer again on the coast road
  • The coast road. Narrow, spectacular and slow. In season it can double a journey — coaches are restricted and large vehicles cannot pass in places
  • By sea. Ferries and private boats run Naples–Sorrento–Positano–Amalfi in season and are often the faster, calmer arrival

How to keep a Villa Astor wedding in budget

  1. Take a weekday. The one-day and two-day rentals are priced for weekdays the estate proposes; a weekend costs extra.
  2. Settle the number first. Up to 20 opens the intimate rental, up to 100 the one-day rental, and above that the two- and three-day rentals. Above 40, the dinner moves outside and a marquee enters the plan.
  3. Count the hours after midnight. Each is EUR 5,750; a party that ends at midnight adds nothing.
  4. Compare more than one florist. At the collection's Lake Como estate, floral quotes for the same weekend ran from about EUR 41,000 to EUR 154,000.
